Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data SEO Emperor ("SEO Emperor", "we", "us") collects when you use seoemperor.org or contact us, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the rights you have. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Registered office: [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Privacy enquiries: [email protected].

Who this policy covers

It covers visitors to seoemperor.org, people who contact us or request an audit, and business contacts at prospective and current clients. Personal data we process on behalf of a client during an engagement — for example analytics or Search Console data for a client's website — is processed under the client's instructions and the data-processing terms of that engagement, not under this policy.

What we collect

01

Information you give us

When you use the contact form or write to us we receive the details you provide: name, company, role, website, business email, the vertical and target markets you select, an acquisition budget band and anything you write in the message field. When we work together we also hold correspondence, meeting notes and contract details.

02

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records server logs (IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring page, date and time) for security and reliability. If you consent to analytics cookies we also collect aggregated usage data — pages viewed, time on page, approximate location at country or city level, device category — to understand how the site is used.

03

Information from other sources

For business contacts we may add publicly available professional information, such as a job title from a company website or LinkedIn, to keep records accurate.

We do not knowingly collect special-category data, and the site is not directed at anyone under 18.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies keep the site working and remember your cookie choice; they do not require consent. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them and can be withdrawn through the cookie settings link in the footer. We do not run advertising cookies or sell data to advertising networks. Where analytics run, IP addresses are truncated or anonymised before storage where the provider supports it.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with people and organisations that help us run the business, and only to the extent needed:

  • Service providers acting on our instructions — website hosting, form processing, email, calendar and video-meeting tools, customer-relationship software, analytics, document storage and accounting. Each is bound by a contract that restricts use of the data to our instructions.
  • Professional advisers — lawyers, accountants and insurers — where needed to obtain advice or manage a claim.
  • Authorities, regulators or courts where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.
  • A buyer or successor if the business is sold or restructured, under the same protections as this policy.

We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Our team works from several countries, and some of our service providers store data outside the country you live in, including outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. When personal data protected by the GDPR or UK GDPR is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, together with an assessment of the receiving country's laws. A copy of the relevant safeguard is available on request.

How long we keep data

  • Enquiries that do not become clients: 24 months from our last contact, then deleted.
  • Client records: the life of the contract plus seven years, to meet accounting and legal obligations.
  • Business-contact marketing data: until you opt out or we learn the details are out of date.
  • Server logs: up to 12 months.
  • Analytics data: up to 26 months in aggregated form.

When data is no longer needed we delete it or anonymise it so it can no longer be linked to you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you have some or all of the following rights: to access the personal data we hold about you; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have data erased; to restrict or object to processing, including to direct marketing; to receive your data in a portable format; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may also request access to and correction of your personal data and withdraw consent to its processing.

To exercise a right, write to [email protected]. We will respond within one month, or within 21 days where the PDPA applies, and may ask for information to confirm your identity. You may also complain to a supervisory authority: in the European Union, the data-protection authority of the country where you live or work; in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office; in Malaysia, the Department of Personal Data Protection. We would welcome the chance to address your concern first.

Security

We protect personal data with access controls, encryption in transit, least-privilege access for team members and contractual obligations on service providers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your rights we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new effective date. Material changes affecting how we use data already collected will be notified to affected contacts where we can.
